PEPERONI FRIEDENS MUSEUM

Documentary Feature – in production

The "Peperoni Friedens Museum" ("Chilli Pepper Peace Museum") used to be cult. At lunchtimes, back in the 2000s, people used to queue out the door and down the street.

Nowadays things are little quieter. Where once upon a time there were 16 employees working here, serving up generous helpings of vegetarian grub, now Djahan runs the show alone. "This way I finally get some peace and quiet," Djahan explains, whilst simultaneously chopping, cooking, cleaning and serving drinks.

PEPERONI FRIEDENS MUSEUM is a direct cinema portrait of a unique establishment and it's charismatic host, which probes at the boundaries of hospitality – and isn't afraid to talk with its mouth full.
