In August 2023 I spent a week filming with young musicians from across Europe at 6th annual Impro Camp in Fredericia, Denmark. 

Was it really only a week? If, like me, you are not used to it, then playing at this level of intensity will do strange things to your sense of time. I am more familiar with the way in which making a film can mess with your experience of duration. It happens twice over; once during the shoot and then again in the edit. 

This project is an attempt to work this intense experience of action through improvised music as a third element into the usual balancing act between detachment and obsession that is part and parcel of making any film.
